What are your hours?
Our Hours are from 10 am – 3 pm on Mondays and Thursdays.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment necessary! Please feel free to drop in any time and we will service you first come, first serve.
Do you close during the summer or any other times?
Please note that we are run by student volunteers, and our regular business hours are during the Fall and Spring academic semesters. For more specific operating dates, please refer to the home page of our website, or our social media sites, where opening/closing dates will be posted prior to and at the end of each semester.
What is your Suit Availability?
We offer suits to both men and women, with women having the option of a skirt or pants. Sizes for women range from 2-22W in skirts and blazers, and 2-18 in pants. Men’s sizes range from 30×30 to 38×32 in pants and 36S to 52L in jackets. Please note that suits are donated, so some sizes may have limited quantities.
What is the criteria to use the closet?
Patrons must be current students at Texas A&M.
How long can we check out items?
Standard check-out time for students renting a suit from the Career Closet is one week. Students are expected to have the suit dry cleaned during this period. The Career Closet will require a receipt from the dry cleaners upon return of the suit. Students will have the opportunity to request an extended check-out if needed (subject to approval by Career Closet Executive Team).
Can we check out items for longer than a week?
Patrons can request extended check-out prior to their appointment by sending an email to the Career Closet email address, at operations.tamucareercloset@gmail.com. Within the subject line, students should include: Extended Check-Out: (Name). Within the body of the email, students should include their first and last name, UIN, and reason for request of extended check-out.
Where would I get my professional clothes dry cleaned?
The Career Closet is partnering with Park Cleaners, located at 314 George Bush Dr. College Station, Texas 77840. We have established a gift certificate program and students will be granted a $5 subsidized rate for the cleaning of their suit with a certified voucher from the Career Closet (given at the time the student checks out the suit).
What are your terms of agreement?
TAMU Career Closet Terms of Agreement: Suits can be checked out for a maximum of one week, which includes the time it takes to have the suit dry-cleaned. If you need an extended checkout, please email the Texas A&M University Career Closet Internal Operations team at operations.tamucareercloset@gmail.com. In the subject line, please include Extended Checkout: (Your Name). In the body of the email, include your name, UIN, and reason for extended check-out. It is understood that all suits from the TAMU Career Closet will be cleaned prior to being returned, and you will receive a voucher only redeemable at Park Cleaners for a subsidized cost of $5 when you check out your suit. If the suit is lost or severely damaged, you will be financially responsible for damages to the suit not exceeding a total of $100. Please be advised that breaching the terms of agreement for the TAMU Career Closet will result in holds being placed on your Hire Aggies account by the Career Center, as well as your Student Business Services account.
